Over the river and through the woods

To Grandmother's House

he goes

As Grandma greets him at the door

He strikes a pretty pose

(He's been invited here for dinner)
And poor, dumb turkey never knows

That clever Grandma promised "a fresh one …...not one of those that's been all froze"

And soon the smells of turkey cooking are tickling little Charlie's nose:

(He came early to help and brought his grandmother a rose!)

	So, dinner was great! They all over-ate!
And laid down for a bit of a doze

	THERE SHOULD BE A MORAL TO THIS STORY, I SUPPOSE
