Janie's Snowman Story Poem Netscape Version

blank space
love that snow

It snowed and snowed all through the night
till all the world was colored white
And in the early morning light
It was a truly gorgeous sight!

Bobby's mittens

A little boy named Bobby Nye
Got bundled up to go out and play

Then Janie Jones who lived near by
Came running out to share his day
Janie's mittens
A snowman
"Can I play with you," she sweetly said.
"And make a great big snowman
with a hat on his head?"
They worked and worked till all looked right
And the neighbors thought that it was quite
Valentine Snowman waving to neighbors
SPECIAL
driving by
….but they really couldn't say just why
It made them smile as they went by
Now Janie's Mom was in a bind
as she searched the house, but couldn't' find
The gift for Grandma's birthday
which had to be wrapped and on its way
...It was a heart-shaped pillow with words that said
I LOVE YOU
And would look just fine on Grandma's bed
She didn't take time to look outside
And see the pillow go inside
THE
SNOWMAN
blank space
When she found out later what Janie did
She got really mad at her cute little kid
someone's not happy!
"But Mama," little Janie said,
as she wiped a tear and bowed her head
a heart, of course"He had to have a heart, you know,
to keep him warm in all that snow!"
So Grandma got a birthday card
with a picture of the kids
and the snowman in the yard
grandma's card

grandma's phoneGrandma called and said the scene
Was the nicest thing she'd ever seen
And that soggy pillow (after it dried)
would be even more special for being inside
a snowman that made lots of people smile
and forget their troubles for a little while
hearts around the world
