Mix butter and crumbs and save for topping.
Mix all else together in large bowl. Spread in oiled 2 quart size casserole. Top with crumbs.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes uncovered at 350 degrees, till bubbly. Serve on lightly buttered noodles or fusilli.
If you cannot eat seeds, omit the poppy seeds....it's still delicious! SERVES 4.
